  • Brian Smith - President

    Dr. Smith began writing poetry and short stories during his early years, but now has returned to writing novels. He pursued his professional path in science along with obtaining a dental doctorate degree. After studying many diverse interests spanning over a thirty year period, he currently writes on topics in order to give an insightful perspective on improving personal health, mending relationships, or gaining a better biblical understanding of fundamental Christian truths which endure the test of time.

  • BA Afshin- Treasurer

    B. Afshin is a senior IT executive with 30+ years experience leading global programs in AI, business intelligence, and enterprise technology. He has a proven record of driving ROI through generative and agentic AI, modernizing BI/analytics, and building high-performing PMO/portfolio practices. As a trusted advisor and de facto Chief of Staff to senior leaders; he has expertise in governance, risk, and change management across multi-org initiatives.

  • Joe Veytia- Secretary

    Mr. Veytia has over 40 years of experience in real estate development both as a senior executive and as a principal. Mr. Veytia graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors Biology & Chemistry in 1979 and was a Corps of Cadets member. Mr. Veytia served in the US Army Reserve as a Medical Service Corps Officer with a specialty in Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Defense. Mr. Veytia is the father of 4 adult children, 3 sons and a daughter. Mr. Veytia has been a member of Alamo City Christian Church and served in various outreach ministries.
